-- Approximately 10 minutes from Miyajima-guchi via Miyajima Ferry. There are two ferry companies on the left and right-hand side of the port (JR and Matsudai Tourist Ship).
Both ferries cost 170 yen for adults, one-way.
Please board the ferry that best fits your schedule. (Both JR and Matsudai Tourist Ship ferries depart every 15 minutes until 6 pm.)

For those traveling by car

Parking on the island is free, however using public parking on the Miyajima-guchi port side is cheaper than the cost of transporting your vehicle by ferry (there are many parking lots for normal cars at approx. 2,000 yen/night).
As well, most of the tourist attractions on the island are accessible on foot, so even if a car is available, there will likely not be many opportunities to use it.

On the island, there are free parking spots near our hotel (outdoor lots).
If you wish to use these facilities, please inform us.
If you are crossing over to Miyajima with your vehicle, please notify us before you get on board the ferry.
When you arrive at the Miyajima Ferry Port, please move your vehicle to the vehicle waiting area.
As there are traffic restrictions on the island, someone from our hotel will meet you and lead you to our hotel.

For those traveling by Shinkansen

Hiroshima Station (Regular train, Sanyo Hon-sen bound for Yamaguchi, 26 min.) disembark at Miyajima-guchi Station.

For those traveling by air

Hiroshima Airport (Airport limousine bus, 48 min.) disembark at Hiroshima Station.

For those traveling by boat

Matsuyama (High-speed ship Super Jet, 60 min.) disembark at Hiroshima Port (High-speed ship, 22 min.) disembark at Miyajima.

Traveling from the ferry port to our hotel

Please let us know what time you will be boarding the ferry.
From 2 pm, we will be able to meet you and pick up your luggage.

We will go to the ferry port by bus to pick you up.
When you arrive at the ferry port, please move to the main entrance of the ferry terminal.
There will be a green bus with the words “Miyajima Grand Hotel Arimoto” written on the side.
Check-in is from 3 pm and check-out is at 10 am, but feel free to check you luggage with us anytime. This makes sightseeing around the island very convenient.
