Body and Soul are healed
on the Island of The Gods
Long known as the "Island of the Gods", the whole of Miyajima is a sacred place regarded as an object of worship.
Miyajima was designated as a World Heritage Site in 1996.
Our hotel has been in operation on the land of Miyajima since the early Edo period.
Experience the traditions of Japan at our 400 year old retreat, the closest to the entrance of the Itsukushima Shrine, whose large, red gateway stands in the ocean.
We extend a warm welcome to all with our motto "warm hospitality for valued guests".
The local neighborhood is home to Japan's numerous foremost historical sites.
As one of the three most scenic places in Japan, Miyajima itself offers wonderful sightseeing,
but it also makes the perfect base for other destinations that ooze history and romance,
such as Kintaikyo Bridge, the elegant bridge comprising five arches, and the UNESCO World Heritage Atomic Bomb Dome.
- Our guest rooms include "Kireisabi", a deluxe, genuine Sukiya-style room produced by Kyoto craftsmen, has a delicate wabi-sabi atmosphere.
There is a variety of room plans you can choose from; a room with open-air baths made entirely of cypress wood, a room with views of Itsukushima Shrine and Miyajima's primeval forest on Mt. Misen and standard Japanese or Japanese/Western-style rooms which focus on comfort and relaxation.
